My first attempt to blog

When I told a friend I was going to start blogging for reflection he asked, "Wouldn't you rather spend time face-to-face with people?"  While yes that is true, I do my best reflection with others, I want to develop another way to reflect that is a combination of the week's reflections, like a mega-reflection  .... THUS the blog or in other words a high tech, old fashion journal.
Now, I feel a bit vulnerable because when I write I tend to be very linear, as a trained scientist, and generally simply recount facts and happenings like how I started this blog post.  The vulnerability comes into play because readers think this type of writing is boring. I am going to try to push myself to reflect on my experiences weekly, by myself and dig deeper to find and share what I can discovered.  The diamond in the rough. Hopefully this will take an interesting meandering course rather than the straight road.  As a teacher, I reflected constantly in every moment of the day adjusting to students needs and interests.  As an administrator, there are fewer people I can talk to and to reflect with, an office is a very different place than a classroom.  If you continue to follow this administrator's journey, I hope you find it interesting and I hope my writing improves the more I practice.  Please leave your thoughts and helpful advice as comments.

Yay!! Congratulations, Justine! Blogging is a great way to share and to DOCUMENT reflections. As an educator and as someone that is growing and descovering a new world or teaching and learning, as an expat that has so much to discover, this is a GREAT tool to share and to document your path and experiences on this beautiful journey. Good luck and congratulations for the inspitation to put this in practice ;)! And I am sure that you will have even more face to face or "@ to @" opportunities to talk about, once you start sharing your blog posts, your ideas and your learning experiences ;) #PASBlearns
